After breakfast we head to the oldest town in Wales and county town of Carmarthenshire, Carmarthen. Offering the perfect mix of traditional and new, Carmarthen has a vibrant town centre and a wealth of history. Wander down the narrow cobbled streets, medieval Jackson's Lane and Nott Square where a walk through the Gatehouse will take you to Castle House where you can take a look over the Castle Walls to the River Towy. After lunch, we journey to Laugharne, a pretty town with a picturesque location on the Taf Estuary. Former home of the famous Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas, visit the famous landmarks which include Thomas' boathouse home which is now a museum featuring his memorabilia and offering stunning views of the estuary.

Today we journey to Pembroke, the former county town of Pembrokeshire which is rich in history. Marvel at the impressive castle idyllically set on the River Cleddau and take a stroll along it's banks which will take you around the castle walls. Visit the bustling high street with its Georgian and Tudor buildings, home to many lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. This afternoon we head inland to the ancient county town of Haverfordwest. This beautiful town is dominated by the Western Cleddau that runs through the middle of the town and the castle that towers above it. Peruse the unique town centre which is joined by a trio of bridges connecting the banks of the river.
